MONTHLY OPEN STUDIO

image of a bare maple tree September’s Open Studio on Lucas Ave will be held on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, from 11am through 5pm.

This open studio is a show and sale of my original pastels, watercolors, and drawings, as well as limited edition drypoint prints, greeting cards, digital prints, and a small selection of vintage collage/art photo jewelry.

The tree in the image at left is a bare, March maple at Lewis Morris Park in Morristown, NJ. It’s a spot I call “Doe Field”.

It was so frigid that year I decided to sketch from the driver’s seat of my 1979 VW camper van with lousy heat. The cold began to bite through my boots almost immediately. I don’t think I’ve ever drawn a subject so fast.

Throughout the day, I’ll be demonstrating mono printing on a gel plate and limited edition drypoint prints using a small printing press.

Please stop by and see some works and prints in progress, and learn about beginning and intermediate drawing classes for groups or individual students.

No pets please, due to allergies in the family.
There is no charge to attend this event.
